Support me as I stay active for 27 days to support those living with Parkinson's!

I'm taking part in the 27ForParkinson's 'Be Active' Challenge to help raise funds for people living with Parkinson's - a progressive neurological condition that affects people from all walks of life.

For 27 days I will be staying active whether it be walking, running or just moving my body as part of the Parkinson's Community.

Will you help me make a difference? Every dollar raised has a lasting impact, so please make a donation to support my challenge.

Day 4: briars to mt Martha board walk.

Lovely evening for a walk. Dogs loved it too.

Day three: of 27 for Parkinsons challenge!

Sunday 3rd Oct

I spent the best part of the day with my gorgeous friend Mairin helping her build a new chook house from a secondhand cubby. I hope the chickens and roosters really like it.

Still committed to our walk even though I was very tired after building a chicken house! Pete and I went on a walk just around the corner from us in Turner‘s lane. A little bit drizzly but it was still a really pleasant walk. Loving daylight savings already.

Day 2: Balbirooroo Wetlands

Saturday 2nd Oct
A beautiful walk in the wetlands in Balnarring.
Today I observed the impact Parkinson’s has on me. I have tremor dominant Parkinson’s which affects my  left arm and leg. While I walk, my left arm is quite stiff, and my left got slaps down rather than smoothly stepping.
The biggest challenge for me is pain. The constant muscle contractions results in a lot of pain particularly in my lower leg.
Research to better understand this disease is so important. So if you can donate, please do.

Day 1 - the challenge begins.

Friday 1st Oct
Today we walked for 1 hour on Summers beach. The sun even came out for us. Kani was in puppy heaven
