Support me as I stay active for 27 days to support those living with Parkinson's!
I'm taking part in the 27ForParkinson's 'Be Active' Challenge to help raise funds for people living with Parkinson's - a progressive neurological condition that affects people from all walks of life.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's in January 2010 and kept teaching my grade 3 for a while longer. Living in Emerald gave me access to wonderful tracks to walk and ride my trail bike. In 2010 i developed Camptocormia which gives me a bent back so I use Trekking poles to exercise with my friend Marg, Our 27 forParkinson's team is called The Trekkers.
For 27 days I will be staying active, whether it be walking or riding an exercise bike on behalf of the Parkinson's Community. i'm so glad God walks the walk with me and gives me joy.
My original goal was $500 but you smashed it in a few days so I've taken a deep breath and now we are after $1000. So far we've been able to walk every day despite the weather.
Day 8 and we are nearly there ....so.....we are upping our goal to $1500.....why not , with friends like you and a cause like this!
Day 21 We've exercised every day and with 7 days to go have nearly reached our current target! Yahoo!
Will you help me make a difference? Every dollar raised has a lasting impact, so please make a donation to support my challenge. Thank you.
